Our Story
The Krobo people of Eastern Ghana have crafted glass beads for over 400 years. Our studio employs 20 artisans who fire, shape, and polish recycled glass into ceremonial and fashion beads using the ancient powder-glass technique.
About the Founder β Akosua Tetteh
Bead-making was on the verge of dying out in our community. I trained under the last master bead-maker in Odumase-Krobo and opened this studio to preserve the tradition and give it commercial viability.
